School Partnerships

The Olathe School District values partnering with the community. We have formed partnerships with three schools: Meadow Lane Elementary School, Forest View Elementary School, and Olathe Northwest High School.

Meadow Lane Elementary

Our church began in 1992 in the gym of Meadow Lane. This school is just down the street from our present building. We are joining forces with Principal Brian Lowe to Adopt his school. There are several ways we can partner with him.

Forest View Elementary

Forest View Elementary began classes in 2009 and was looking for a church partner. Several families in our church had children attending there and were involved in the scouting and parent/teacher program. Dr. Heck, the principal, asked if Christ Community would partner with FVE. We said yes. We have helped need families, sent teacher appreciation notes, and helped with several of their service projects.

Olathe Northwest High School

Literally across the street from our building is a GREAT high school. Every year, Pastor Kathy and a team of volunteers help with freshman orientation, Cram and Cocoa, and other student body activities. When tragedy strikes, we open our church for prayer vigils and counseling. We also partner with ONW by providing debate judges, fans in the stands, and space for park and pick

Volunteers Serving Schools

In just 30 minutes a week you can have a great impact in the life of a student. You may assist them academically, read to them, practice "sight words," or just join them for lunch. There are many needs and opportunities. Apply here and attend a training for any of these three schools.
